Scarf test

• The scarf test tests for pathology of the acromioclavicular joint
• How to perform:

  • Position patient's hand over their opposite shoulder
  • Push elbow posteriorly
• Interpretation:

  • Pain suggests acromioclavicular pathology e.g. osteoarthritis
