Reflex arcs

• The nervous system allows animals to coordinate their behaviour which also allows different parts of the body to work together to respond to changes in the environment
• The nervous system is made up of a network of different cells called receptors, neurones and stimuli
• Effectors respond to changes in the external and internal environment
• A change in an environment is called stimuli
• Cells called neurones recieve information about stimuli from receptor and they carry this around the body as electrical impulses
• The CNS receive and process information about different stimuli
• The central nervous system is made up of the brain and spinal cord
• The CNS is a coordinator and receives and processes information from receptors
