      • the spinal cord is an extension of the brain and responsible for reflex actions
      • connects nerves to the pNS and passes messages from and to yhr brain
    • the structure of the peripheral nervous system (Autonomic nervous system)
      controls vital functions in the body like breathing, digestions, sexual arousal and stress responses
    • Somatic nervous system
      Governs muscle movement and recieves information from sensory receptors
