Filtration and Crystallisation

• 1 salt dissolves in water, sand doesn't
• 2 grind mixture to make the small crystals small
• 3 put mixture in water and stir
• 4 filter the mixture, the sand won't be filtered so will collect on the paper. the salt passes through the filter paper
• 5 evaporate the water from the salt so that it forms dry crystals
