The F-scale is a psychological test that measures authoritarian personality traits. It looks at things like:
Submissiveness to authority - how willing someone is to obey those in power
Aggression towards those seen as inferior - how harshly someone treats people they view as lower status
Cynicism and toughness - a general distrust of others and lack of empathy
People with high F-scale scores (authoritarian personality) are more likely to obey destructive orders from figures of authority, while those with low F-scale scores are more likely to resist or disobey.
