  • Lupang Hinirang - formerly named Marcha National Filipina
  • It is sung with pride, dignity, utmost respect, and allegiance to the country. It is governed by the law — R.A 8491 or the "Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines."
  • The Philippine National Anthem is used with 2/4 time signature, mostly. But 4/4 time signature can also be conducted.
  • Jose Palma was the writer of the national anthem "Land of the Morning" in 1899 with the original Spanish lyrics. Julian Felipe started composing the first composition named "Marcha Nacional Filipina" on June 12, 1898, after the independence proclamation, before the lyrics was adopted.
  • The national anthem's last revision was made in 1962.
