• Gland: pituitary

  important for regulating the endocrine system- 'the master gland'
• Gland: ovaries

  facilitate the release of oestrogen and progesterone (female hormones)
• Gland: testes

  facilitate the release of testosterone (male hormones)
• Gland: adrenal

  important part of the flight/fight response- releases adrenaline
