• Psychophysics helps us understand how strong something has to be for our senses to notice it
• s the study of the functional relationship between thephysical properties of a stimuli and the psychological respons
• Within the window, we can notice differences between stimulus intensities
• for example Think of a flashlight. If someone makes the light a tiny bit brighter, you might not notice at first. But if they keep making it brighter little by little, there’s a point where you go, “Oh! That’s brighter now!” That’s the JND for light.
