  Acidic oxide -> formed by a non metal
• Shape of the graph in chip and acid reaction:

  • steepest at the start because rate of the reaction is fastest , as acid conc is highest
  • Curve becomes less steep as acid becomes dilute
  • Curve levels off as acid is used up
