    • Grade 4: 22 thieves had been stealing for more than 3 years
    • Grade 1: 4 had only committed one theft.
  • Control Group
    • Consisted of a further 44 children who had attended the clinic
    • Similar in age, sex and IQ to the thieves
    • Also emotionally disturbed but didn't steal
