What are the functions of the CNS?
Right hemisphere controls left side of the body and vice versa.
Brain = conscious awareness and decision making.
Brain stem = autonomic functions, some reflex responses and consciousness.
What are the functions of the PNS?
Info from outside world to CNS.
Info from CNS to muscles.
What are the functions of the ANS?
Automatic functions, e.g breathing, heart rate, stress response.
What are the functions of SNS?
Voluntary movement of muscles and reflex responses.
Sends messages to muscles and takes in info from sensory organs.
