  wipe down desk with disinfectant wipe

  set Bunsen burner with heatproof mat

  label segments of the Petri dish 1-5

  place filter paper in each substance in spotting tile

  light Bunsen burner and spread bacteria in the Petri dish using a warm sterile spreader

  heat the tweezers and put filter paper to its designated section on Petri dish near the Bunsen burner

  using a few sellotapes, seal petri dish

  tidy up and wash hands
• what is the inhibition zone?

  clear area around the disc where no bacteria are growing
• what is autoclave?
