    • Abstract = summary of study
    • Introduction = literature review
    • Method = detailed enough for replication (include = design, sample, apparatus/materials, procedure/standardised instructions, ethics)
    • Results = descriptive statistics (eg tables, graphs, charts, measures of central tendency, measures of dispersion) and inferential statistics (eg choice of statistical test, calculated and critical values, level of significance, final outcome/which hypothesis was rejected)
    • Discussion = evaluating the outcome (including = summary of findings in verbal rather than statistical form, relationship of results to previous research, limitations of the study and how they can be addressed, real-world implications of research)
