  store the organelles of the cell and regulate production of proteins and lipids needed by the rest of the neuron.
• Node of Ranvier

  Recharge the action potential that runs along the axon.
• Axon Terminal

  transmit messages to other cells via use of neurotransmitters at synapses.
• Nucleus

  serves both as the repository of genetic information and as the cell's control center.
• Myelin Sheath

  allows electrical impulses to transmit quickly and efficiently along the nerve cells. 
• Schwann Cell

  support and myelinate axons in the peripheral nervous system
