  The External intercostal muscles contract expanding the ribcage
• What does the ribcage do?

  The ribcage moves up and out
• What does the Diaphram do?

  The diaphram contracts and flattens
• How does this effect the volume in the Thorax?

  The volume of the thorax increases
• How does this effect the pressure?

  The pressure inside the Thorax decreases
• What happens to the Air?

  The Air is drawn in down the pressure gradient
