    The case is sent back to the magistrates for reconsideration.

    2-3 high court judges
  • Where can a further appeal be made to?
    Court of appeal (criminal division) then supreme court
  • When can a case be appealed higher than the high court?
    There is a point of public importance

    Leave to appeal is granted by the KBD or the Crown court
    Then to go to the supreme court leave is granted by the court of appeal
