  2. Count number of waves
  3. Divide by distance number of waves identified
• How can you determine velocity of a wave through a string?

  Find frequency and multiply with wavelength
• How can you adjust experiment set up to show one complete wave through a string?

  Move wooden bridge
• How can frequency of water wave in a ripple tank be measured?

  Count how many waves pass a particular point in time

  Divide number of waves counted by number of seconds waves were counted for
• How can speed of a wave in a ripple tank be determined?

  Measure distance travelled by a wave and the time it takes for a wave to tackle that distance

  Divide distance by time to find speed
