• Step 1


  Place block on paper and draw around it using pencil
• Step 2

  Remove the block then pick a point where the ray of light will shine
• Step 3


  Draw the line of normal (90° straight line)

  Goes outside and inside the block
• Step 4


  Place glass block back onto paper
• Step 5

  Put a cross on the beam then put a cross where it exits the glass block
• Step 6


  Draw a dot to dot line to show where the ray went in and left
• Step 7

  Then measure the angle of incidence and refraction
• Refractive index
