    Contract and tort claims over £100,000, e.g. Negligence like personal injury, breach of contract and deformation.
  • What else does the KBD hear?
    Applications for judicial reviews, appeals from the county court.
  • What criminal jurisdiction does the KBD have?
    Hear appeals from the Magistrates and Crown courts if there is a point of law.

    A single judge and presided over by the President of the KBD.

    Family cases, especially to children under the Childrens Act 1989.
