    The Apalachee school shooting, Georgia. A student killed 2 teachers, 2 students and wounded 9 other people. The shooter charged with murder and tried as an adult

    From 2000s to 2010s the regularity of school shooting has increased from 150 a year to 500 per year.

    Americans believe punishments for gun crime shouldn't be harsher as things such as the death penalty are not effective. Instead the government should offer them mental health support.

    If a crime is committed severely with a fire arm the sentence would vary from minimum 5 year of jail up to lifetime imprisonment. The sentence has increased since 1990s as the maximum sentence use to be 4 years in jail for offence with weapons.

    That Americans would like their gun laws to be made stricter, however, not banned.

    That the US government should restrict certain types of gun (no semi automatic), the number and reasons for owning a gun (hunting etc.). Also engage in proper background checks.

    Gives me a real American insight on the issue of gun laws.

    Easy to complete, didn't have to do in-depth research on the internet instead just went to her classroom and completed under 10 minutes.

    She lives in UK, as she lived here a few years now her knowledge on gun laws in USA could not be as useful as current American citizens.

    Lack of people interviewed, as I only interviewed one American I missed out on many different opinions on the matter.
