Systole Phases + Conduction System

Cards (7)

  • Diastole phase is when the atria fills with blood and the valves are close
  • Atrial systole phase is when the atria contracts and blood moves to ventricles
  • Ventricular systole phase is when the ventricles contract and blood moves into the aorta and pulmonary artier to the rest of the body and lungs
  • Phase 1) diastole phase stimulates the SA node
  • Phase 2) The AV node is triggered and arterial systole phase begins
  • Phase 3) bundle of his is stimulated and then messages is sent to the right and left bundle branches
  • Phase 4) message moves to the left and right purkinje fibres and then the ventricular systole phase occurs
