    • Design Argument
      Also known as the 'Teleological Argument'. An argument that seeks to prove the existence of God through observable evidence of order, complexity and purpose in the world.
    • Enlightenment
      A state of spiritual awakening and the gaining of a deeper understanding of reality.
    • Evil
      The moral opposite of good and results in suffering.
    • First Cause Argument
      Also known as the 'Cosmological Argument'. An argument that seeks to prove the existence of God through observable evidence of cause and effect in the world.
    • General Revelation
      Indirect revelation. The idea of being able to see something of God through nature and scriptures which are readily available in everyday experience.
    • Immanent
      The belief that God is present and involved in the world.
    • Impersonal
      The belief that God is beyond human understanding.
    • Lying
      When somebody offers an untrue statement.
    • Miracles
      An event that contradicts the laws of nature and is usually thought to be impossible. Often attributed to the work of God.
    • Mistaken
      When an individual is wrong.
    • Omnipotent
      The belief that God is all-powerful.
    • Omniscient
      The belief that God is all-knowing.
    • Personal
      The belief humans can build a relationship with God.
    • Saul's Conversion
      An example of a vision, found in the Book of Acts. On the road to Damascus, Saul is blinded and hears the voice of Jesus.
    • Science
      The collection of knowledge from observation and testing.
    • Special Revelation
      Direct revelation. The idea that God is revealed directly to an individual or group through experiences such as visions.
    • Transcendent
      The belief that God is outside of time and space.
    • Value
      The considered importance/benefit of 'X'.
    • Vision
      An experience of seeing/experiencing something in the imagination or through a dream.
    • Water into Wine
      An example of a miracle, found in the Gospel of John. Show's Jesus' divinity.
