• Macbeth using Mark Antony and Caesar to describe his and Banquo's relationship ( Mark Antony and Caesar were good friends but Caesar defeated him in civil war )

• Macbeth, beginning to worry about Banquo and plotting to kill him:

  “Full of scorpions is my mind”
• Lady Macbeth questioning Macbeth about his plans for Banquo

  "What's to be done?"
• Macbeth, when he sees the ghost of Banquo:

  “Thou canst not say I did it: never shake thy gory locks at me”
• Lady Macbeth, trying to calm Macbeth when he sees the ghost of Banquo:

  “This is the very painting of your fear”
• Macbeth, beginning to worry about Banquo and plotting to get rid of him so that he can continue to be king:

  “Come fate into the list. And champion me to the utterance!”
