  --> E.g. TV electrical energy is converted into useful sound & light energy, some will be wasted as thermal energy

  A measure of how much of the total energy is converted to useful energy

  --> Efficient systems waste less energy

  E = (UO/TO)*100 E= Efficiency

  UO= Useful Energy Output

  TO= Total Energy Output
