    Köhnken et al (2008)- found that in a meta-analysis that when using the enhanced cognitive interview more ppts accurately recalled details.

    Milne & Bull (2002)- found that using a combination of the techniques led to more accurate recall.

    Köhnken et al. (1999)- found that although there was an increase of 81% in correct information, there was also a 61% increase in incorrect information.
  • Police usage
    Police found that the cognitive interview is very time consuming and requires specialist training. Suggesting that it is not always practical.
