The Juries Act 1974 as amended by the Criminal Justice Act 2003 and the Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015 states that potential jurors must be:

On the electoral register
A UK resident for at least 5 years since their 13th birthday
Aged 18-75
Many people were ineligible or excused from jury service but following the Auld Review and the subsequent Criminal Justice Act 2003, the juries Act 1974 was amended - barred if have serious criminal convictions, are currently on bail, have mental health condition
Can serve on jury: legal profession, clergy, judges and police officers
Members of armed forces may be excused if their commanding officer provides a statement
