Limitations

• Researcher bias:

  researchers can become too involved and lose their objectivity - misinterpreting or influencing outcomes.
• Lack of control:

  there are many confounding variables that can affect the outcome.
• As they are unique they can be difficult to replicate and therefore lack scientific rigour.
