• Villi is in the small intestine. It has thin walls for quick diffusion of substances into the blood.
• Microvilli are finger-like projections on villi that increase surface area for absorption.
• Villi have a good blood supply to maintain a concentration gradient. The shape of villi also increase the surface area.
