Inspector Goole

Cards (1)

  • 'He creates an impression of massiveness' - Inspector act one

Could be referring to making a big impression right away rather than being physically big. The inspector holds authority even over the birlings who are of a high social class. The Inpector being dominant would be unusual as working class usually weren't in 1912. Also hints that he is no ordinary man possibly suggesting he is of a supernaturual prescence which links to his name 'Goole' which could mean ghost.
