  • Aim : to investigate the effect of temperature change on the rate of decay of fresh milk by measuring pH change
  • step 1: place 20cm3 of fresh milk into3 beakers
  • step 2: decide the 3 temperatures you will investigate and write these onto the sides of the beakers e.g. 0,20 and 50
  • step 3 : use universal indicator paper or solution to determine the pH of the milk in the 3 beakers
  • step 4: cover each beaker in cling film and incubate at the appropriate temperature
  • step 5: use universal indicator paper or solution to determine the pH of the milk in the 3 beakers after 24, 48 and 72 hours
