Parenting - Harlow et al and Bailey et al
-Harlow found not forming an attachment to the mother can cause damage to the baby monkey. They lacked skills on how to be social and were timid. The motherless monkeys became inadequate parents themselves as they never had a model.
-Baily et al assessed 99 mothers attachment with their 1 year old and the mother. Used SS and found mothers who reported poor attachment to their own mothers were more likely to have a poor attachment with their own child.
