    • AO3. There is real world applications for LOC. This information can be used to support individuals when choosing a career path. For example, more internal LOC people may be better in leaderships roles. This means that researching this has positive impacts.
    • AO3. The concept lacks temporal validity. Twenge found that Americans were more likely to believe that luck and fate dictate their outcomes, and not their own actions. People are becoming more external than they used to be. This is negative because external LOC is associated with poor schooling, decreased self control and depression
