  • TLC is an all-girl R&B/hip-hop group. The members were: T-Boz, Left-Eye and Chilli, at the time Waterfalls was released
  • Waterfalls is a track from their second album, CrazySexyCool (1994) and achieved international success, reaching number one in many territories as well as being one of the band's signature tracks.
  • The group was originally formed as a fusion of R&B and hip-hop (a hybrid becoming popular in the 1990s).
  • Unlike many girl groups, TLC had more of a 'rock 'n' roll image'. They were honest about their battles with addiction, police arrests (Left-eye burnt down her boyfriend's house after an argument), abusive relationships and arguments with one another. These issues were often explored in their music making them more 'gritty' than other R&B acts.
  • Left-Eye was killed in a car crash in 2002, but the remaining members continue to record and tour as a duo.
