  • Through V to lungs for gas exchange
  • PV brings O blood From lungs back to LA
  • LA contracts pushing O blood into LV through valve
  • O Blood leaves heart by aorta
  • Bringing oxygen to respiring cells

• Why is the left side thicker?

  The LV pumps blood around the body so needs more pressure
• What does the Vena Cava do?

  Takes blood from the body into the heart
• What does the Pulmonary Artery do?

  Takes blood to lungs
• What does the aorta do?

  Takes blood to body on left side
• What does the Pulmonary Vein do?

  Takes blood back from the lungs on left side
