• Where does transpiration occur?

  In the Xylem
• Features of a Xylem :

  • Continuous tubes
  • Dead cells - thick + lignified
  • One direction
• Factors affect transpiration:

  • Temp - increase temp - more rapid + evaporate - increase
  • High humidity - higher concentration of water outside plant - decrease
  • Humidity - low concentration of water - increase
