• Prior to the 1900s, illustrations were much more commonly used on film posters due to the limited technology that was available
• This film was set in the middle of the 1973 energy crisis when the oil-producing Arab nations were boycotting the export of oil to the West. This caused an oil crisis that led to short and long-term effects on politics and the economy around the globe. This is hinted too through the iconography of a power plant and the energy beam pointed at Bond
