To check the brakes are working they shouldn’t feel spongy or slack when pressed down and the car should not pull to one side
Information for the recommended tyre pressures is in the manufacturer’s guide,use a reliable pressure gauge

To check power assisted steering is working is that it should not feel heavy,before starting the journey,apply a tiny bit of pressure to the steering to see if it moves
To switch on the rear fog lights you’d turn on the switch ,maybe after dipped headlights,and a warning light comes on.Should be used when visibility is reduced by 100m
