However, once sister magazine at Conde Nat, Vogue appointed editor Edward Enniful in 2017 he has turned the magazine into a celebration of all beauty. Alongside the 2020 global anti-racism protests, there has been a wider range of ethnicities on the cover of GQ
• The front cover of GQ supports the idea of metrosexuals and spornosexuals
• In Dec 2018 Sterling took to social media to highlight racism in the British press. Sterling posted a comparison of how two MailOnline articles portrayed a white vs black footballer (Phil Foden and Tosin Adarabioyo) buying their mums a house. Since the post Sterling has become a sought-after spokesperson for charities, activists and other social causes.
