Moses was given the Torah by God on Mount Sinai and is often called the Laws of Moses. Jews believe the laws within it are for all time. Breaking those laws goes against the relationship with God.
The commandments guide Jews on how they should live their lives and treat others. Some Jews observe the duties literally whilst others adapt them for their lives today.
Moses is regarded as the greatest of the prophets. Only one who has spoken to God face-to-face. Established a covenant with God. As God's chosen people, the Israelites would continue to keep the commandment as given to Moses.
Moses was chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt. Moses delivered them from slavery and led them to the promised land of Canaan (Israel). All Jews consider it important to visit and support the land of Israel.
