    Is an american sociologist. His work as one of the important sociological theories concerning the self. He posited the people's perspective and self understanding of the self based on their own perspective of how others view them. What you know of yourself is, therefore, not just a direct contemplation of how you view yourself, but your impression of how other people see or perceive you. The term "looking glass" refers to the self as a product of social interactions
