Humanistic- counter hegemony created by the W.C to over throw the cultural hegemony of the ruling class
Structural- capitalism collapses by itself

Under-emphasising the role coercive political and economic forced in holding back the formation of a counter-hegemonic bloc e.g. assumes its easy to create a revolution

Overcomplicates traditional marxism. Discourages political criticism by suggesting that individuals do so little to change society. Thompson- suggest people should just follow to the communist party blindly
