• Rules a just war must follow:

  1. Have a just cause
  2. Be declared by the correct authority
  3. The intention of the war has to be to defeat wrongdoing and promote good
  4. Fighting must be the last resort
  5. There must be a reasonable chance of success
  6. The methods used must be proportional to achieve success
• Holy war: believing that is it right to fight a war in the name of god.
