  • Alpha bias is when the difference between men and women in a study is exaggurated
  • Beta bias is when the difference between men and women is minimised or ignored. Beta bias leads to androcentrism. Androcentrism is when male dominant studies and beta bias causes regular female behaviour to be viewed as abnormal.
