Cards (4)

  • Q1 is always worth 15 marks and asks you to EXPLORE HOW THE TEXT USES THE FOLLOWING ELEMENTS OF MEDIA LANGUAGE TO CREATE MEANING
The options you may be asked about are:
    -Images
    -Language
    -Layout
    -Mise-en-scene
    -Character
    -Narrative
    -Intertextuality
    -Typography
    -Brand Identity
You will be asked about 2-3 of these and depending on how many are going to be how many marks each are worth (e.g if you are asked about 3 each will be 5 marks but if you are asked about 2, one will be worth 10 marks and the other 5). The total marks will ALWAYS be 15 though
  • To answer this question, you should use the PEAL structure. Repeat this TWICE in one paragraph for 5 marks.
(So, if you have 3 elements you are asked about, you would do PEAL twice for one element, e.g., images, then repeat with PEAL twice again for your next element, such as narrative.)
