Differences between A.T and diffusion

• What is different about the diffusion conc. gradient vs the A.T conc. gradient?

  In diffusion, particles move down the concentration gradient whereas in A.T, particles are moved against the concentration gradient
• Diffusion does not require energy from respiration whereas A.T does require energy from respiration
• A.T always takes place across a membrane against their concentration gradient whereas diffusion moves through the membrane
