    A long cylindrical muscle cell. They are held together in bundles to make up an individual skeletal muscle.
  • What is the strength of a contraction dependant on?
    The number of motor units recruited by the brain.
    Higher number of units = greater contractions
  • What does one muscle contain?
    All 3 muscle fibre types and are dependant on type of training and genetics
