What is meant by political influences?
Influences within
parliament
for example
Government policy
-government bills and Individual MPs or Peers -
Private members bill
Why does the Government policy have such a huge influence?
Because they're the political party with the
majority
of
MPs
in the
House of Commons
.
They also control the
parliamentary timetable
and can determined which laws are
passed
and which
bills
are prioritised.
How is Government policy evident?
When a
general election
is held each political party presents a
party manifesto
setting out their proposals if elected.
