Volcanic landforms

Cards (5)

  • Volcanic Landforms form as a result of cooling magma or lava.
  • There are two types:
    • Extrusive landforms (form on the    surface)
    • Intrusive landforms (form in the crust)
    • I have studied the following extrusive/volcanic  landforms
    • Dome volcano
    • Basalt plateau
  • A Basalt Plateau forms when magma flows onto the earth's surface through separating plates.
  • An example I have studied is the Antrim Derry Plateau.
