  • What is a pressure group?
    •Bodies of people with a shared interest in getting the government to change the law in certain areas.
  • Who do they target and how?
    •They target politicians, civil servants and local government offices by lobbying MP’s, organising petitions and gaining as much publicity as possible for their cause.

    Promotes particular beliefs or ideas where anyone can support and they rely on donations

    they are more likely to have strong contacts wit the government
