Richard Duke of Gloucester

• he was exiled with Edward in 1470
• in the 1470s there was a Lancastrian invasion on Scotland so Edward made Gloucester overload and inherited Warwick's support
• he defended the north against the Scots and maintained law, justice and order
• he was allowed to marry Anne Neville and was a national figure leading to expeditions of France and Scotland
• Edward and Richard were a powerful partnership
